Q: How do I get started?

Simply follow our five steps:

Step 1: Register

Step 2: Bid and buy

Step 3: Payment 

Step 4: Arrange collection

Step 5: Collect 

Q: Is there a buyers fee?

A: No. The bid you make is the price you pay

Q: What happens if my bid is the highest but the reserve isn’t met?

A: If your bid is the highest, but less than the reserve price, the vehicle may still be sold to you, subject to the seller accepting this bid. An Auction4Cars representative may contact you and negotiate to agree a price at which the sale can be finalised

A: What do I do if I have forgotten my password?

A: Use the forgotten password facility. A new password will be provided automatically on receipt of your email

Q: How can I pay?

A: You have the option of Telegraphic Transfer, BACS or Online Banking

Q: Can you deliver?

A: Sorry. Collection only

Q: Where can I collect my car?

A:  All vehicles are to be collected from the site they are listed against.  Addresses as follows:-

    Derby: Motorpoint Compound, West Meadows, Derby, DE21 6BZ

    Burnley: Smallshaw Lane, Burnley, BB11 5TF

    Newport: Queensway Meadow Industrial Estate, Newport, NP19 4YR

    Peterborough: Edgerly Drain Road, Peterborough, PE1 5NL

Collection times are Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm, we do not operate a collection service outside these times!!

Q: Where do all the vehicles come from?

A: They are all Motorpoint part-exchange vehicles

Q: Do you sell vehicles for the trade?

A: No

Q: Can I view the cars before bidding?

A: Unfortunately not. Auction4Cars is online only

Q: What do I do if I need more information about a particular listing?

A: Use the ‘Ask the Seller’ facility listed with each car

Q: What do I do if I win an auction?

A: You will receive payment details and purchase confirmation by email on conclusion of the day’s auctions. Payment is required within three working days

Q: How soon can I collect the vehicle?

A: Once cleared funds are received and processed

Q: What do I need when I’m picking up my vehicle?

A: You will only require a release code. This will sent to you via email

Q: Are the vehicles clear of finance?

A: In the vast majority of cases - yes! In some instances, the vehicle may still show as having a registered interest. We endeavour to clear this as soon as possible. An indemnity letter can be issued in this case

Q: Are the vehicles clean?

A: All vehicles are cleaned to trade standard (but not retail standard)

Q: What do I do if the car is not as described on collection?

A: In the highly unlikely event that the specification of the vehicle is not as described - a full refund will be provided

Q: What documents are provided with the car?

A: All listed documents will be with the vehicle at the point of collection

Q: Do all cars come with a V5?

A: In almost all cases. However, if a V5 isn’t available for a vehicle then the V5 won’t be listed

Q: Do all vehicles come with service book, hand book and spare key?

A: Only if listed with the vehicle
